Dan Boone First-Year Camper Program
The Dan Boone Program is designed to excite, energize, and teach the first year camper the patrol and troop method. Scouts will concentrate on basic camping and Scout skills needed for the Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class ranks. Participants will be split based on rank and skill level and placed into patrols.
Scouts should bring all the personal camping equipment they would normally take on a weekend campout. There will be a hike on Wednesday along with a campout that night. Participants will need a backpack, hiking boots, and good socks. Some meals will be cooked in the program area.
The Dan Boone Program is offered twice a day: 8:40 - 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Scouts should plan to attend one session or the other, not both. Please split your Scouts between the two sessions. Scouts may be moved to another session based on attendance.

Project C.O.P.E.

Scouts will work together to solve problems presented in initiative activities and teams course events. They will also learn belay skills and complete several elements on the high ropes course.
Our COPE course has 18 teams course events and 13 high ropes events - more than any group could do in a week. Scouts should plan to spend the entire session on the course. Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to accommodate everyone, we may have to revise a Scouts merit badge schedule.
The cost for the program is $15 and includes a T-shirt. Participants need to bring tennis shoes or boots, long pants or jeans, water bottle, bug spray, and a camera.
Participants must be at least 13 years old by January 1.
Swimming Lessons
Both Non-Swimmers and Beginners lessons are offered twice daily during the week. An excellent opportunity!
The Tower

The tower is 30 feet high and four sided, giving Scouts the opportunity to try several different skill levels. Sessions are morning and afternoon, but Scouts have to switch sessions in order to accommodate everyone. Scouts should plan on spending the entire morning or afternoon on the course. Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
